Another little ACEO Original...the gold background in this one is rich and luminous like an icon..I am thinking of Summer birds.

Looking at my Garden and just enjoying the warm vibrant colors of Summer..I took some liberties with the colors of this little garden bird preferring to let my imagination create him.

I've really enjoyed combining colored pencil with watercolor lately. I know it's not "traditional" technique but I enoy the glow of the watercolor underneath the pencil. Last summer I roamed the horse barns at the county fair admiring the beauties there. Here are a few.
